What information do I collect about you?
If you have commissioned a piece from myself then I may need images provided by yourself to complete the project. I will need your contact details, and may need information about your bank to process my fee.
How do I collect this information about you?
If I require any personal data from yourself then I will ask you directly. I do not receive any personal data from third parties.
How will I use the information about you?
The information I collect from you will be used only to produce the project which we have agreed upon. Your contact information will be used precisely for that; to communicate with you during the course of the project, but also to send you the item you have ordered. Regular communication allows me to send you drafts and alter my work according to your specifications.
If I ask you for images, then I will use these to create a likeness of the individual you would like me to portray.
It is very rare that I ask for banking information, but I may need to do this if there are problems processing a payment. Any bank details you provide me will be removed when the transfer is complete.
Under what lawful basis is your data being processed?
If you have commissioned work from me, then I am the controller of the data you have supplied.
Who has access to your information?
If you have commissioned work with me directly, then only I have access to your information. Your personal data will not be shared with any other parties as I have no sub-processors.
How do I keep your data safe?
The data I collect from you is stored on my computer which is kept up-to-date and protected by anti-virus and anti-malware security applications. It is password protected. The data you provide me will be kept in virtual format, and will remain confidential.
How long do we keep your data for?
The banking data will be kept until the funds have been processed. Material used for the making of the illustration or painting (ie. reference photos) will be kept up to six months (in the event of revisions and edits made to the illustration or painting this will make the process easier).
What are your rights?
You have the right to:
- Have your personal information rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete
- To have your personal information deleted
- To restrict the processing of your personal information
- To obtain details of the personal information we hold about you
- To ask us not to contact you for marketing purposes and/or withdraw your consent to direct marketing at any time
If you would like a copy of your personal data, would like me to stop processing your data, would like me to erase your data, or would like me to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete, then please contact me at email@example.com.
